Paul Bates has joined Sonoco Trident
Sonoco Trident has appointed Paul Bates as European sales director. He will replace James Cutting who was appointed European managing director in 2014.
Mr Bates was previously at Esko for 15 years where he started as a sales account manager and progressed to regional business manager for northwest Europe. He commented, ‘Having worked with Sonoco Trident for many years, I have always admired their approach to the business, their customers and especially the staff. Trident’s culture is very important to them which I feel makes them a rare business, even more so as they are a global company. Trident employs over 600 people over 22 sites around the world and still have the feel of a family owned business that cares for its staff and customers - when the opportunity to join came up I jumped at it.’
