Elite’s new ECS 340 press will be delivered and assembled on 7 November and taken straight into volume production.
Leicester-based Elite Labels is to install a Gallus ECS 340 seven-colour flexo UV press to upgrade its self-adhesive label production as it expands to new industry sectors.
The company mainly serves the fashion industry but will use the new press as it expands its labels services to new sectors, from cosmetics to food and drink.
‘The press will start on double day shifts but we hope to move to 24 hour working within three to six months,’ said managing director Shafique Hussein. ‘I will not be surprised if we take a second Gallus line in 2017.’
Elite Labels has offset, flexo, digital and rotary printing as well as weaving looms but the self-adhesive department has been earmarked as a particular focus for company growth over the coming two years.
