The judges of the Association Technique Francaise de Flexographie (ATF Flexo) awards, Flexostars, have chosen six Lohmann customers as winners.
In 2016, the event in La Rochelle, France, celebrated its 30th anniversary. Recently, the best printing results from 15 categories, such as on cardboard, paper, film and labels, were awarded with Flexostars in gold, silver and bronze. The contest entries were appraised by two juries, a technical jury focused on the complexity of the concept, and an artistic jury who passed their judgment on the aesthetics of the design.
Some prize winners received numerous stars, so that a total of nine awards were given to Lohmann customers, seven of them in gold. An excellent result, as senior market manager graphics, Silvia Casellato, exclaims, ‘We have been in the market for plate mounting tapes for more than 60 years. The fact that we are still so successful speaks for the outstanding quality of our products and our many years of experience. This was once again crowned with gold.’
Franck Tartas, Graphic Design Unit Manager at Gascogne is very proud. His company not only won the popular Super Flexostar, but also an award in the category Multi-layer films – water-based ink printing, using Lohmann DuploFLEX plate mounting tape. ‘We have been working together with Lohmann for some time now and DuploFLEX is one of our favourite choices when it comes to plate mounting tapes. We have always achieved excellent results, the performance and consistency are especially instrumental for us,’ said Mr Tartas.
