BPIF members at one of the training days
Two highly successful training days were recently organised by BPIF Cartons for its members, in collaboration with Heidelberg and Sun Chemical.
The days were attended by employees from several leading UK carton manufacturers including Alexir Packaging, Curtis Print & Packaging, Glossop Cartons, Multi Packaging Solutions and Qualvis Print & Packaging.
The objective of the training was to take the employees through some of the latest developments and to provide practical guidance on any issues encountered during the production process.
Jon Clark, general manager of BPIF Cartons, said, ‘The UK carton industry has invested millions of pounds over the last few years in order to offer its customers the best production options. However, it is essential that this investment in machinery is equally matched by employee training to develop skills and hone knowledge.
‘We also wish to develop the next generation of employees and this training is seen as a fundamental part of this process. These training days, which were offered to members on a complimentary basis, helped to strengthen confidence and provided the perfect environment to learn and share experiences.’
