Two new appointments at Sandon Global mark an exciting year to come for the anilox supplier, which has already seen growth year on year and is now developing its worldwide export markets.
Mike Baines joins the company’s technical team as technical services engineer, with over 30 years print experience.
UK sales manager Richard Millington commented on Mr Baines appointment, ‘Mike has an impressive background as a hands on, fully skilled printer who has run gravure and flexo presses including Cerutti, PCMC, F&K and W&H. Our UK based customers will benefit from his invaluable experience in achieving quality print at optimum speeds consistently.’
This new role provides UK customers with a free anilox audit which includes a detailed report capturing volume checks and drawdown performance. Hands-on fault finding, maintenance support and training days will also be delivered at customer sites.
Mr Baines commented on swopping from printer to troubleshooter, ‘I am really looking forward to visiting our customer sites and utilising my print knowledge; to get the best out of anilox technology.’
The European sales team has also been strengthened by appointing Michael Franz this month.
Based in Germany Mr Franz will be European sales lead, supporting the brand across the region and managing the extensive anilox sales network.
Export manager Stuart Mitchell said, ‘Michael brings specialist knowledge of the flexographic print industry spanning over 25 years.’

Originally qualifying as an electronics engineer Franz has performed a variety of roles in the industry including; field sales, anilox technical consultant, export manager and sales director.
