Vincent Belksma, EDNN general manager with the MPS EF Symjet
Label printer EDNN is the first Dutch company to invest in a MPS EF Symjet hybrid press. It recently installed digital/flexo all-in-one printing press with in-line finishing adds flexibility and short turnaround times to the company’s label production capabilities.
Based in Hoogeveen, The Netherlands, the company previously specialised in flexo presses for label printing jobs, but is experiencing increased demand for smaller sized jobs and variable data. Vincent Belksma, EDNN general manager, is confident the purchase of the EF Symjet is a strategic addition to its machine park and future.
‘Hybrid printing is the future of label printing, and with the EF Symjet hybrid press, we can combine digital technology with flexo printing, as well as the finishing – all in one pass,’ said Mr Belksma. ‘We are extremely excited to offer the ultimate in flexibility, and our customers will appreciate the increased level of service with this truly integrated solution.’
Arnaud Fleuren, area sales manager at MPS Systems, commented, ‘With their new hybrid press, EDNN can enter new markets that digital label printing brings such as personalisation and shorter print jobs, while offering enhanced benefits of flexo such as PMS colours, metallic shades (gold/silver), delam/relam blackmarks on backing paper, cold foil, and spot varnish. It really combines the best of both worlds in a future-proof solution.’
