Within the product family Uvaflex FCM Y81 Zeller+Gmelin has developed a gloss varnish and five types of black
Zeller+Gmelin has added new products to its colour series Uvaflex FCM Y81, including a gloss varnish and five different types of black for various applications.
The new additions complete the current FCM generation introduced to the market by the Eislingen-based printing ink manufacturer at Labelexpo 2017. The entire ink series is suitable for food or cosmetic packaging, with low migration potential and high quality printing.
The new gloss varnish YL-7G106 rounds off the Uvaflex FCM Y81 colour series with a varnish that ensures safe handling during both printing and curing. It is bisphenol-A free, meets Nestlé’s Guidance Note and has high abrasion resistance. The varnish can easily be overprinted with standard thermal transfer ribbons.
The range of colour types for the black sector are each suitable for different applications. These include a process set black (Y81-S1400), matt black (Y81-X40302), a brilliant black (Y81-X40101) and a backside black (Y81-X40200), which cannot be overprinted. A fifth type of black, Y81-X40301, is designed for surface printing for lid applications. This product offers increased scratch resistance.
The new FCM-Y81 series can be used universally on paper and film, so that different applications such as self-adhesive labels, shrink sleeves, in-mould labels, wrap-around labels, flexible packaging or folding boxes can be covered.
