The training courses are designed to help operators and engineers with hands-on training combined with practical knowledge

To improve flexo operating skills, share current developments in the printing industry and increase press productivity, MPS has developed new training courses for operators and engineers.

The three day programmes for operators and five day programmes for engineers will be held at the MPS Technology & Expertise Centre in Arnhem, The Netherlands.

Marc-Jan Goossink, manager after sales, said, ‘Ongoing training and education of operators and engineers is a crucial contribution to a printer’s financial goals, but more importantly it increases their motivation and dedication. In an era where it’s difficult to find and retain technically trained personnel, that’s highly valuable.’

The training courses are designed to help operators and engineers with hands-on training combined with practical knowledge.

Leading the training programmes is centre manager Leopold der Nederlanden, who commented, ‘Our headquarters offers an interactive learning environment where operators and engineers can focus 100% on training, and we can simulate an actual production setting including pre-programed machine faults to help with troubleshooting and preventing press downtime.’

Press schematics and advanced troubleshooting with an MPS technical engineer are part of the engineer training. Upon successful completion of the course, all participants are awarded an official industry-recognised MPS certification.

Mr Goossink concluded, ‘Our in-depth training courses provide a valuable opportunity to help operators and engineers advance their skills and knowledge to a higher level. I am excited about these programmes, and look forward to welcoming participants to Arnhem.’
