Ultimate’s new BOBST 20SIX CS flexo printing press installed in its production hall
Grimsby-based Ultimate Packaging has installed an additional Bobst 20SIX CS CI flexo press. The company currently operates four 20SIX flexo presses.
‘We bought our first 20SIX in 2012 after it was presented at drupa that same year to boost our short run capability,’ commented Jon McCarthy, operations director. ‘With features like the smartGPS offline register and pressure setting we achieved major improvements in start-up waste and turnaround time and could serve our customers better with smaller orders than before.’
The press can be used across a variety of substrates and applications. The purchase will allow the company to continue to be responsive to its customers with flexible lead times, while being reactive to new developing markets.
Ultimate is focused on developing high quality innovative packaging solutions to increase shelf-life, convenience, and sustainability. 90% of its packaging is for the food industry with 70% falling into the fresh produce sector.
