(L-R) Gidue distributor Jaume Martinez, Martinez Associats, with Alvaro Morales of Segundo Morales, and Francisco Sanchez of Timbrados Elche
Since its launch in 2012, Gidue’s MX pressline has been installed at more than 50 converters globally. These include many Spanish companies, such as Inter Ade, Mesones Artes Graficas, Imprenta M. Sandonis and Timbrados Elche, and Sugrapack.
Based in Sueca – Valencia and lead by Maria Vincenta Comes, Inter Ade is a Spanish converter founded in 1967, which specialises in the production of self-adhesive labels as well as silkscreen posters, plaques, cards and aluminum.
‘We are committed to using the best technology available in order to provide our customers the highest print quality possible combined with our personalised service. Gidue’s MX line perfectly fits our needs and I’m sure it will help us facing the market demand for high quality labels,’ commented Maria Vincenta Comes, managing director.
The cooperation with Gidue started in early 2010 when the company purchased the first S-Combat 370 mm width and eight printing stations through Gidue’s certified distributor, Martizez Associats.
Meanwhile, Inter Ade, based in Sueca, have just installed a second Gidue press, an eight colour MX 370 mm, which as an evolution of the previous S-Combat, will let the company continue producing high quality products with even less waste.
Another big Spanish converter is Mesones Artes Graficas. In 1983, the company started operating as a distributor of packaging material and labelling. Over time and with the incorporation of qualified personnel, it started to manufacture adhesive labels and printed seal. Currently the company has a renewed fleet of machinery and technology tailored to the needs of a sector in continuous process of transformation.
‘We are very happy with our investment in Gidue technology, as it makes us able to enlarge our current market by giving customers a consistent high quality in printing products,’ said Jaun José Mesones, managing director.
Based in La Cisterniga Valladolid, Imprenta M. Sandonis was established over 40 years ago and today has a 6000 sqm facility and over 80 staff. To serve its customers with printed labels, it has installed an eight colour MX 370 mm wide press.
‘Our key words are evolution and growth to better adapt our product to the needs of our customers. Today, thanks to them and to our continued investment and innovation effort, we are able to offer a complete service. The desire for the pride of a job well done, is our best hallmark of quality, creativity and, with Gidue now we know we can even increase our quality in production and profitability,’ commented managing director Almudena Sandonis.
Incorporated as a limited company in 1978, Timbrados Elche is situated south-west of Alicante. It has installed an MX2 UV flexo press with a print width of 370 mm, eight printing stations and two die-cutting units.
Segundo Morales, managing director, commented, ‘We work internally on the designs that our customers require, therefore we need to have the right technology in place that can print the final product perfectly as it was intended. The Gidue press is a combination of ease of the operation and high quality results that let us printing our product with the best quality ever. We are more than satisfied with this investment.’
Sugrapack is a young Spanish company that in the last few months has decided to install a GIDUE UV flexo press. This converter, based in Guadix Granada, began operating as a manufacturer of labels in 2004, although its founding partners have an industry experience of over 20 years. Its main customers come from the wines and spirits, homecare, and food and drink sectors. The decision to invest in an eight colour, 370 mm wide MX UV flexo press was born out the need to have the ability to print high quality in a cost effective way.
‘During our 10 years of experience in the labels and packaging industry, we have realised that the investment in the right advanced technology can offer the opportunity to keep on enlarging the customer’s portfolio. With the installation of the Gidue flexo press we know that we will be able to reach and satisfy even the most demanding customer,’ commented Francisco Romero, managing director.
‘The resounding sales success of presses in Spain is a great result for Gidue. It isn’t always that simple to explain and sell advance technology to conventional converters, mostly because of the lack of knowledge and trust in the kind of technologies that the press includes. This sales success in Spain, during this period of global economic crisis, is definitely a further confirmation that the market is ready for our revolutionary innovations,’ concluded Maurizio Trecate, vice president sales.
